Fight against FGM on tour
More than four hundred beneficiaries have benefiteded in Somalia with four monthly meetings on the negative health consequences of female genital mutilation. The meetings took place from November 2013 until February 2014 and have been hosted by the local Somali partner NGO Action for Gender and Development (AGAD).
The first meeting was organized especially for women. In the second month, the meetings were aimed at the Somali youth. And, in the third month, the main target were religious and traditional elders. In total, over one thousand two hundred people have been reached indirectly via the participants and via those who followed on the media.
