The game is on 20-22 Dec!
The dates for the 9th edition of Amsterdam Futsal Tournament are set. From the 20th until the 22nd of December more than 24 Somali teams from the Netherlands as well as Sweden, Norway, Belgium and England will battle against each other in Sporthallen Zuid for the championship of the tournament.
Eight of the Dutch teams participate in the project ‘Resilience through Sport’. They will take part in sessions on resilience led by a Somali and a Moroccan trainer. According to Somali participants of last year, the project has been very helpful in finding their way within Dutch society.
On top of that, by popular request, also this year a ladies basketball tournament is being organized alongside the football competition. HIRDA is honored to welcome back a couple of professional players from the Somali national team who will throw some hoops and participate in the tournament. The finale of both tournaments takes place on the 22nd of December. Just as previous times, we have several illustrious Somali guests to attend, and to award the prizes for the winning team, the best coach, best player, best goalkeeper and the top scorer.
If you are not participating, join the fun, and cheer for your favorite team!
