Ojectives Of the Organisation

In General, HIRDA was founded to participate humanitarian activities in Somalia, and in particular activities in Gedo, lower Jubba and galgudud regions. In order to realize the objectives, HIRDA has setup the following guidelines:

·        Poverty alleviation through small-scale food production programs which will lead access to food for every body.

·        Illiteracy elimination through sustainable, qualitative and accessible basic education and vocational training for every gender. This will pave the way job opportunity

·        To improve the quality and accessibility of drinking water.

·        Promoting mother and child care health centers and MCH'S.

·        Raising community awareness in regarding to self-reliance, influencing decision-making process, ownership, democratization, strengthening civil society and improving the relation between  the regions where HIRDA is active and surrounding regions.

·        To function as an advisory organ between local, international and donor organization.

  • HIRDA encourages that intellectual Diaspora community to go back to Somalia to participate the reconstruction of Somalia. It also urges donor countries and aid organizations to facilitate intellectual Diaspora community to be to Somalia. HIRDA welcomes development programs either from individuals, countries or group of investors to setup productive projects in Somalia. This will create jobs and improve the likelihood of the Somali society.

Community Awareness and fundraising in Holland
